Toa Mata Cosplay Concept

Description

There seems to be so little Bionicle Cosplay. It's not that nobody has tried, it's mostly because it's extremely hard. Even if you're a talented cosplayer, you'd have to somehow fit a human into a lego set body. Someday, I would like to do that. I want to cosplay as Kopaka Mata/Nuva. I'm not quite as good as many talented people at Cosplay, but I've been conceptualizing ideas. And here is my idea for the Mata form.
The reason I listed only three Toa (Tahu, Kopaka, and Lewa) is because those are the only three that would fit with this concept build. I'm a male, so I used a male base. Obviously Gali would need a female build. Pohatu and Onua have more stocky, crouched builds, and this is straight and skinnier. I drew all 6 masks because throughout their fight against the infected Rahi and Bohrok swarms, the Toa have had to collect 5 masks apart from their own to obtain their golden mask.
On the design I wanted to mix the set designs and Bionicle Movie designs. That includes hands as we know them, and modified masks. So for each of the masks, I tried to add a mouth feature that was present in the movies. Tahu's and Onua's masks are based on Jaller's and Takua's movie design. I used the same triangular mouth of Gali Nuva's mask in the movie for her Mata mask. Hewkii's and Hahli's movie masks were also inspirations for Gali's and Pohatu's masks. I've been designing Kopaka's Mata mask for a while, but Lewa's was, by far, the hardest to give a mask to. I don't remember seeing any movie matoran with his mask, and his Nuva mask has the nose-like feature (I like the set design, but for the mouth...). So I looked through the first Bionicle comic issues.
Now for the cosplay itself. I was planning on making this as a base build, but I would also like to make Nuva armor the clicks on to this Mata base. That way, I could cosplay as both Kopaka Mata and Kopaka Nuva. Of course that would mean more work than just sticking with one set form, but it would be really cool if it works (overused pun intended). If you want to know about the head, or how this whole body is built, I'm not sure. This is an idealized concept. I was hoping to make a head similar to the set head while still being able to clip on the masks, and a body that keeps the mechanical aspects of bionicle.

I know there's a text wall, but there's a lot to talk about...

I do not own Lego, Bionicle, or any of their characters.
